The Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia region is becoming an increasingly multicultural society. The Cultural Diversity Community/Equal Opportunity Committee is responsible for assisting REALTORS® in understanding the changing demographics of the community and how best to serve all clients. In serving the Association and the entire community, the Committee participates in various projects to promote home ownership, affordable housing, and the benefits of a diverse greater Chattanooga region.

Governmental Affairs Committee George Kangles, Chair Elisa Etter, Co-Chair
The Governmental Affairs Committee believes REALTORS® have a substantial role to play in working to advance the quality of life in the community. Operating at the local, state, and national levels, the Governmental Affairs Committee will review all government policies that may be of benefit or detriment to the ability of REALTORS® to conduct their business successfully and ethically, and to promote the preservation of the right to own, use, and transfer real property. The Committee is also dedicated to working with elected officials and candidates for office who support REALTOR® issues to create better communities.

The Grievance Committee is responsible for receiving Code of Ethics complaints and arbitration requests. Members of the Committee review each case to determine if a violation occurred and decides if requests need to be forwarded on to the Professional Standards Committee.
